The Wales Road Trip

A place I will always call Home away from Home. Wales has always held a special place in my heart right from the first trip I took there as a kid to Pwthelli, something about the magnificence of the landscapes and how many variations there were, it really struck a cord with me. Ever since that trip as a kid I had a yearning to head back there especially as I got more and more into the video & photo world, I had even more of a reason to go back and show everyone the beauty I saw in this truly outstanding place.

This was the first trip Katie and I took together in the UK and in doing so I wanted to fit in as many stunning locations as possible, so after hours and hours of researching and googling we came up with a plan to visit the Brecon Beacons first and then Snowdonia, a theme we would repeat on future trips. Staying in the cosiest Airbnb in the middle of the Black Mountains first off allowed us to have a nice relaxed start to the trip full of campfires in the evening and coffee and welsh cakes in the morning. Then when it came to visiting Snowdonia, that feeling of speechlessness came back again from when i was a kid taking in all the incredible sights. For me when a place leaves you speechless you know it's something special. Hence why I call it Home away from Home, I could happily move there in a heartbeat.
